Reform - Collective Housing
The project transforms an old house of the Conventillo type in the Aguada neighborhood, into a PH of 6 Units; 3 simplex on the ground floor and 3 duplex on the upper floor.
The area is characterized by the presence of 2 University Centers, the Legislative Palace and factory sheds, which contrast with the small residential scale. In this enclave, PH Aguada arises as a response to the demand for housing for students and families in the neighborhood. At the same time, it seeks to promote new residential models in downtown areas that are gradually losing their tradition, due to gentrification processes and new uses.
The project generates 3 housing blocks maintaining the load-bearing walls, vaults and the original facade of the house. The new structure and construction will be metallic with black aluzinc facades. A functional distribution in the form of a "Comb" will allow organizing the units that are staggered taking advantage of the depth and slope of the property; releasing a series of voids-patio. The mansion will support the new demands of contemporary living through multi-height spaces, dynamic facades, garden decks, independent access and patio.
